About Me
Originally from Leicester, I am a journalist now based in Edinburgh. Through my degree, I have had the chance to experience every corner of the Journalism world, now wanting to focus on podcast and video editing.
Experience
My enriching time at Edinburgh Napier University has brought me plenty of opportunities to expand my skillset.
From 2023 - 2024, I was co-Podcast Editor for ENRG, managing over 20 podcasts as well as hosting two of my own.
During the winter term of 2024, I hosted ' The Wind-Down Hour' on ENRG Radio.
I was Events Organiser for ENRG between 2024-2025, solo planning the first ENRG Ball for over 100 people, as well as bi-weekly socials.
For our Digital Platforms, I co-created the website concept 'The Happy Hour' in 2024, covering sober activities in Edinburgh.

Media Law - 1st in our Scottish Media Law module, with some knowledge of English law
Researching - Able to find and contact interviewees in a professional and friendly manner
Interviewing - Experience in both online and in person interviewing for television and radio
Content Creation - Ran multiple Instagram accounts for podcasts and a website whilst creating content on Canva
Camera and Microphone Operation - Experience of Hn2 Zoom microphone and Sony HXR-NX200 NXCAM 4K
Adobe Premiere Pro - Edited packages across each year of Newsday modules, as well as documentary work
Audacity - Skills applied when editing multiple podcasts
Canva - Utilised when making graphics for Newsdays or making content for social media
CapCut - Used for editing packages for mobile journalism and social media content

I would like to explore various areas of Podcast and Video Journalism:

To achieve these goals, I will be taking the appropriate next steps:
- Expanding my editing knowledge through tutorials and courses
- Start creating my own content on Tik Tok and Instagram
- Look to gain professional experience in these fields
